About us.

HEF Longmont is an all volunteer board providing scholarships to St. Vrain Valley School District graduates based on their stories, the challenges they've overcome, and their achievements despite the obstacles in their path.

30Years-02-01

Our story.

For over 30 years, Hispanic Education Foundation Longmont has been a diverse foundation that has dedicated itself to helping primarily Hispanic and Latino students further their post-secondary education.

Our focus is on creating equity in higher education by providing scholarships for graduates of the St. Vrain Valley School District who are primarily students of color - mostly hispanic, a large number are first-generation college students, and many have worked to overcome adversity in their lives while still finding ways to contribute to their family and community.

Currently, the board awards 15 new scholarships to graduating seniors. Recipients are encouraged to re-apply for their renewing scholarship for their second, third and fourth years.

What we do.

Scholarship.

In addition to the 15 new scholarships each year, past recipients can re-apply to receive funds towards their second, third, and fourth years.

Donations.

Our scholarship program thrives off the generous donations from the community, schools within the district, and local business partners.

Volunteer.

Our volunteers are fundamental to the success of the Hispanic Education Foundation Longmont.  Each lend their skills and expertise to the program.  Join today.
